We offer a wide variety of educational programs, consulting and counseling services all focused on supporting effective prevention, intervention and long-term change in ineffective or harmful behavior. Sometimes we work directly with individuals or couples and other times we teach techniques to professionals, business managers, and parents who in turn have responsibilities of working with individuals.

Educational Programs

All our programs center around the concept of choice and personal responsibility using the powerful learning tool provided by the use of expectations and consequences.

PEGs

The Parenting Education Groups (PEGs) program is designed for parents or guardians of children and aims to teach techniques that address irresponsible/disruptive behavior and also support the change process.

Twelve consecutive weeks for 1 hr group sessions
Session rates:   $240 in advance or $20 per session

CHANGE

The Change program (State of Illinois approved) is specifically designed to confront the dynamics of domestic abuse, violence long term patterens of irresponsible behavior.

Twenty-six weekly 1.5 hour group sessions
All intakes are $75
Session rates:
Yearly Income $0-$15,000 $20/session
Yearly Income $15,000-$30,000 $26/session
Yearly Income $30,000 and up $50/session

PATTERNS

The PATTERNS program is designed for individuals demonstrating a pattern of irresponsible and abusive behaviors. Individuals are often referred to this program through the court systems for "anger management" educational services.

All intakes are $75
Group session fees are based on the same sliding scale as applied to the CHANGE program

OPTIONS

The Options program is a growth-oriented program offered to individuals whose lives have been impacted by domestic abuse. Group goals are to increase members' understanding of abuse and to increase self-awareness.

Skills in Transition

The Skills in Transition program aims to provide women the skills to successfully undergo life transitions and build a secure future for themselves. Participation based on space availability.

Alternatives

Alternatives to Violence program is specifically designed for students from the University of Illinois involved in the disciplinary system.

Fun-Da-Mentals

Fun-Da-Mentals program is designed for at-risk youth that combines learning and activities. Participants spend the first twelve weeks in "training" -- i.e., learning the basics of responsible thought through a combination of educational groups and guided group activities and then the following six weeks as a peer facilitator with the new trainees.
